We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Host Home Providers. Host Homes are single-person caregivers, couples, or families who open their home to a person with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on someone's life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying up
- Assist with transportation to appointments or outings
- Engage in meaningful conversation and companionship with clients
- Monitor and report any changes in client's condition or behavior
- Follow care plans and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
