As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will identify and assess new
suppliers to support Woodward commodity strategy. Train and develop Suppliers
to meet Woodward expectations/requirements. Provide technical and quality
direction to the supply base in direct support of the production and
contractual requirements of the organization. Manage supplier APQP activities
for New Product Launch or Part Transition Projects in compliance with Woodward
APQP procedures.What you will be doingSupplier Assessment:Leads the evaluation process to determine if potential
suppliers meet technical and quality standards required by Woodward.Supplier Capability Improvement:Identifies and addresses supplier
capability, capacity, and system gaps, maintaining the supplier sourcing
matrixOnboarding Suppliers:Ensures suppliers understand quality and product
requirements by reviewing drawings, specifications, and onboarding activities.Supplier Development:Manages projects to implement development plans with
key suppliers to align with commodity strategies.Performance Improvement:Drives supplier performance improvement programs to
enhance quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost (QDRC).Escalation Point:Acts as the quality systems and supplier development
contact within commodity teams.Project Management:Leads multiple supplier-related projects across various
