Description We are seeking an Accountant with a focus on credit clerking for a team based in Englewood, Colorado. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity in the telecom industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reconciling accounts, initiating collections calls, collaborating with internal teams, maintaining fixed asset systems, reconciling balance sheets, and other duties as necessary.Responsibilities: Manage and reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate recording and tracking of customer payments, credits, and outstanding balances. Initiate and conduct collections calls and emails to follow up on overdue payments and maintain positive relationships with customers. Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and resolve accounts receivable discrepancies and assist with supplier portal setup. Maintain the fixed asset system and prepare monthly depreciation calculations. Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Complete daily revenue recognition batch processing in the company's CRM. Prepare and enter journal entries as necessary. Complete lockbox cash posting and prepare refund reports. Act as backup for accounts payable and payroll functions. Prepare audit and tax schedules as necessary.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Accounting Software Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Great Plains (GPAC), Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Auditing.
