Nauhaus Industries is a family owned millwork shop located in Englewood, Colorado We are currently seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Shipping/ Quality Control Foreman to join our team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Cabinet Craftsman and knowledge of millwork and casework.

SUMMARY

This individual is responsible for ensuring quality and finished millwork is shipped to appropriate job site while fulfilling all installer needs. Daily activities will include planning, supervising, and coordinating cabinet shipping to job sites while managing delivery personal. . Work also includes personal participation in shop needs as an extra hand. Work is performed under general direction of the Production Manager and is reviewed through discussions and inspection of completed work.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate daily shipping needs and coordinating of all activities involved with this task

Inspects work in progress and upon completion ensures that it meets required standards; inspects items reported to be in need of repair

Supervises the delivery team and maintains records of completed shipments.

Coordinates with outsourced trades – upholstery, stone, finish and metal fabricators to ensure work under Nauhaus scope continues to get completed and then on the job site

Attends management meeting when the Production Manager is not available and reports on the ongoing in the shop.

Enforces safety regulations, rules, and working conditions. Coordinates Weekly Safety meetings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED; 5 years of related experience including supervisory or lead experience and considerable experience as a journeyman cabinet maker or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Excellent communication skills.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Thorough knowledge of the standard methods, equipment, materials, tools, and practices of the cabinet making trade.

Thorough knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the construction trades.

Ability to effectively supervise skilled workers.

Ability to interpret and work from penciled sketches, drawings, plans, and blue prints.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and other university personnel.

Ability to communicate and coordinate with superiors, subordinates, vendors and university personnel.

Skill in the use and care of standard tools and equipment of the carpentry, cabinet making, and woodworking trades.
