Job Summary
We are seeking expereinced skilled Scaffold Builders to provide leadership, instruction, and guidance to other craft workers on the crew. The ideal candidate will assist the Foreman while being responsible for assembling and dismantling scaffolding structures that provide safe access for workers on construction sites. This role requires journeyman level scaffolding experience, a strong understanding of construction practices, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. The Scaffold Builder will play a crucial role in ensuring that scaffolding is erected safely and efficiently, allowing for smooth project progression. This position may require supporting sites across the Front Range from Pueblo to Fort Collins. Pay is dependent upon exerience as a Lead Scaffold Builder.
Responsibilities
Erect and dismantle scaffolding systems according to project specifications, blueprints, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the foreman and the construction team to determine scaffold requirements for various construction tasks.
Examine and gather materials and tools according to project specifications.
Inspect scaffolding components for damage, defects, and wear while ensuring all equipment meets safety standards.
Load, transport, and unload materials as required.
Inspect base surfaces for obstructions and ensure safe working conditions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols on the construction site.
Rig materials as needed.
Assist in the fabrication of scaffold components as needed.
Maintain tools and equipment through minor cleaning and maintenance activities.
Secure scaffolding to building structures using fasteners and ties.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while working at heights.
Requirements
Must be bi-lingual.
Proven experience in a scaffold building lead role.
Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools for scaffold assembly.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accurate scaffold construction.
Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
Flexibility and transportation sufficient to support work sites across the Front Range.
