Role Overview:
As an Estimator at Garrett Brown Designs, you'll embark on an exciting journey working with other sales staff in bid preparation, value engineering options, and various aspects of the sales process. While prior experience is beneficial, we welcome candidates with a strong foundation in office skills, particularly proficiency in the entire suite of Google applications, excellent phone etiquette, and a background in a similar role or within a woodshop will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Management: Set up and maintain comprehensive bid tracking and proposal documentation.
Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous pricing records for hardware and materials.
Meeting Participation: Participate in video meetings for project clarification and reviews.
Vendor Management: Foster vendor relationships and review vendor quotes.
Material Sourcing: Source hardware, stone, and materials cost-effectively.
Collaboration: Collaborate with internal staff, outside vendors, and directly with clients to finalize bids efficiently.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Google Sheets, Google Drive, and the entire suite of Google applications.
Previous experience in a similar role or background in fabrication is preferred.
Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
