Wildlife / Pest Control Technician

The Pest Control Technician position is responsible for helping commercial and residential clients solve pest and vermin related problems. By traveling, in work provided vehicle, to clients location to access and implement pest control treatments; this can include spray or bait treatments, trapping, repair work, and remediation work. The Pest Control Technician is responsible for on job site communication with clients, taking pictures of all work and ensuring all aspects of the project are completed to the client’s satisfaction. This position is to support the achievement of the company’s business goals and objectives. The position is responsible for completion of all electronic paperwork and collation of photographs for work before during and after, the work is completed.

Must have an understanding of, but not limited to the following skills: safe driving skills, customer service.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.

Use of IPads and IPhones.

Works in a safe manner and recognizes unsafe situations. Takes appropriate action to ensure safety of themselves and others at all times.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Must feel comfortable working individually, travelling to job sites in company vehicles, and being self-motivated.

Must be able to climb up and down ladders from step ladders up to 12ft extended; and work from a ladder as well as step on and off the ladder to and from a roof.

Apply pest control products as per the directions and in accordance with the label.

Set and bait all types of animal traps, and use of one-way doors.

Ensure all employees under their supervision are at all times acting in accordance with OutRight Wildlife’s policies, procedures and in accordance with OSHA.

Have a valid drivers license and able to drive a company provided motorized vehicle.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not supervise crew members.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement, heat and humidity. May encounter wild animals such as but not limited to raccoons, rats, mice, snakes, skunks and bats, spider, wasps or bees.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee can lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position; work is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5-pm. Daily start and finish time is determined on a day-to-day basis by the size of the assigned project or the needs of the company.

Travel is to job location locally in company vehicle daily.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to pass pre-employment background and random drug screen, OutRight Wildlife operates a zero drug and alcohol policy. Complete and pass a PFT test and NON DOT physical.

Strong Communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline orientated.

Ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors and employees at all levels of the organization.

Have a full clean Colorado driving license.
