POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Restoration Mitigation Technician will work out of our dynamic Denver office, and the ideal candidate will have experience in the restoration industry, particularly in mold remediation, fire and water damage restoration. This role involves assigned tasks such as site evaluation, equipment placement, demolition and documentation throughout the project. This role also involves lifting and utilizing hand and power tools to restore properties affected by various types of damage. The RMT plays a crucial role in helping clients recover from disasters and ensures their homes and businesses are safe and clean. The RMT is a part of a team that represents Forefront professionally and ethically to drive positive customer reviews.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (Roles/Accountability)
What are the major functions of this job position?
Perform water damage restoration mitigation services, including extraction, drying and dehumidification
Conduct mold remediation processes to ensure safe removal and prevention of future growth
Execute water restoration tasks, including cleaning soot damage and repairing structural issues
Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely to restore damaged areas
Follow safety protocols for asbestos abatement when necessary
Clean affected areas thoroughly to prepare for reconstruction and further repairs
Collaborate with team members to assess damage and develop effective restoration plans
Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all job sites
Communicate with customers regarding restoration process and provide updates on progress
Communicate with team managers on project progress and changes.
Follow all Forefront policies and safety measures

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
What formal qualifications and professional experience best set this position up for success?
Previous experience in the restoration industry preferred but not required
Familiarity with water damage restoration techniques and equipment
Knowledge of mold remediation practices is a plus
Experience with fire restoration processes is a plus
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Your own tools preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Commitment to safety standards, especially regarding asbestos abatement procedures
A valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites
