Job Title: Medical Receptionist/Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our primary care practice. This hybrid role requires an individual capable of performing both administrative and clinical tasks to support the efficient operation of our medical practice. As a small office, everyone is cross trained and involved start to finish in most parts of patient care, so this is not your average MA or receptionist position. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, organized, and able to provide excellent patient care and customer service. This position will be Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Medical Assistant Duties:

Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, pulse, temperature).

Assist the doctor with patient examinations and procedures.

Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary equipment is available.

Collect and process laboratory specimens.

Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.

Provide patient education on medical procedures and post-visit care.

Process orders and referrals.

Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.

Maintain inventory of medical supplies and equipment.

Reception Duties:

Greet and assist patients as they enter the office.

Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.

Schedule and confirm appointments.

Answer and direct phone calls, responding to patient inquiries and triaging appropriately.

Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.

Process insurance information and verify patient coverage.

Handle payment processing.

Upload documentation to patient electronic charts and file to paper charts.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.

Experience and/or education as a Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT or similar healthcare field - at a minimum you should know how to take vitals.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Punctual, reliable, and hard working.

Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Ability to demonstrate good judgment when triaging and dealing with patients.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour, no benefits
