AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join our dynamic Traffic team in Denver, Colorado.In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary teams delivering complex traffic and transportation projects across Colorado and the surrounding regions. You will collaborate with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to plan, design, and manage the successful execution of a wide array of civil and traffic engineering initiatives.ResponsibilitiesServe as the technical lead for civil engineering tasks on traffic-related projects, including corridor studies, traffic modeling, ITS design, and roadway geometric design.Ability to perform traffic design operational and safety analysis.Mentor a team of civil and traffic engineers, planners, and technicians on both local and regional projects.Perform and oversee design development using platforms such as MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Synchro, and VISSIM.Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and deliverables; ensure high-quality outcomes aligned with client expectations.Provide technical oversight and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reviews on traffic studies, construction documents, and design packages.Coordinate closely with clients including CDOT, RTD, local municipalities, and private partners; represent AECOM at stakeholder meetings and public engagements.Support business development efforts through proposal writing, client relationship development, and pursuit strategy planning.Promote innovation, sustainability, and equity in the delivery of civil and traffic engineering solutions.
