Civil Engineer - Highways Designer

AECOM is seeking out a well qualified and motivated Highway / Roadway Civil Engineer with a background in highway and roadway design for a great role in our Colorado Springs, CO office.Engages with local team for design of interchanges, highways, and urban corridors.Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader project assignment of an experienced engineer.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple designs and tests.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.Follows and directs internal quality process and identifies discrepancies in results.Provides guidance and mentorship for entry level engineers.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.Independently performs the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering design projects. Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
