TEENS, Inc. Program Assistant
TEENS, Inc., a highly successful and impactful, youth serving organization in Nederland, CO. is
accepting applications for a program Assistant.
TEENS, Inc. seeks a Program Assistant beginning early May and working through mid August to
assist in a variety of program areas as needed.
Potential Duties Include:
Lead, oversee and ensure safety of up to 6 youth employed through Mountain Youth
Corps on various projects including noxious weed removal, trail building, beautification
projects, and / or fire mitigation work.
Lead, plan, oversee and ensure safety of four to twelve youth on day excursions around
the Front Range. Possible trips include hiking, Rockies baseball game, fun parks, and
other various activities in the Boulder / Denver Metro area.
Supervise Teen Center drop in hours from 12:00 7:00 two three days / week and on
Fridays to 9:00pm. This includes forming relationships with teens, playing games,
hanging out, mentoring, and supervising peer supervisor youth employees and
ensuring everyones safety.
Qualifications: The Summer Program Assistant must be able to work collaboratively with
numerous other staff members as well as with youth in addition to being flexible, fun and
committed to serving youth. Ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:
Bachelors degree coupled with previous experience working with youth.
Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions (rain, cold and hot).
Ability to model a strong work ethic in a variety of settings.
Available roughly 25 - 30 hours / week for the month of May increasing to 35 hours
per week early June mid August.
First aid and CPR certified or willing to get certified.
Clean driving record and ability to drive a 15 passenger van.

Compensation and benefits: $16-18 per hour
