(1) Night shift position open, 11:00 pm - 7:15 am, Sunday - Thursday + $1.00 shift differential
Basic Purpose
Operate equipment to mill and blend raw herbal materials and spices according to schedule and the Blendmaster’s recipe while maintaining the highest safety, quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Tasks are to be completed while maintaining the highest safety, food safety and quality, cost and GMP standards in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate blending and milling equipment to meet daily production and quality needs/expectations.
Respond to production problems and take appropriate corrective action.
Make necessary mechanical adjustments
Operate forklift
Complete required record keeping tasks.
Maintain work area and equipment according to the highest GMP’s, SOP’s and safety standards.
Be and active member of the milling/blending work team with emphasis on teamwork spanning all work shifts.
Coordinate activities with Production Control.
Operate packaging machines and/or work in other areas of the plant (in both the wet and dry tea facilities) in
response to business needs.
Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.
Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to:
o GMP’s
o Allergen Program
o Quality
o Sanitation
o SQF
Additional duties and various projects as needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitude skills.
Previous processing experience preferred.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be quality and customer service oriented.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Forklift operator certification
Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours/OT as needed.
Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
The employee must frequently lift fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred and forty
pounds with help of lift assist and carry.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Exposure to fluorescent lights.
Regularly required to work around operating equipment, stand, reach, pull, stoop and bend. Standing and walking on concrete floors.
Ability to walk up/down mezzanine stairs.
Pushing and pulling (carts/hand jack/pallet jack) up to 1000 lbs.
Dusty environment.
Must pass pulmonary screening/fit test (respirator use required).
Noise exceeds eighty dBi, hearing protection required (PPE over ear protection).
Standing and walking on concrete floors.
Compensation and Benefits:
New starting wage is $23.00 hourly (commensurate with experience and location). Note that rate could change based on shift schedule.
