different.Job OverviewThe Physical Therapist II provide physical therapy services including

evaluation, treatment and follow up and documentation using general

competencies for inpatient and outpatient children referred to the physical

therapy department. Provide supervision for PT aides/assistants and students

with specific tasks and/or patients. Provide continuous consultation and

education to families. The Physical Therapist II successfully fulfills the

requirements of a specified area or completes and maintains the Career

Advancement Program (CAP), demonstrating both excellence in job

performance and on-going contributions in service, education and research,

and professional development and leadership.Additional InformationDepartment Name: Anschutz IP Physical Therapy

Job Status: Full-Time; 40 hours/week - eligible for benefits

Shift: 4x10 hour shifts with occasional weekend supportQualificationsEDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy

EXPERIENCE -Two years of professional experience as physical therapist with a

strong preference for inpatient acute care/rehab experience and pediatric

inpatient and/or outpatient experience.

CERTIFICATION(S) - BLS for Healthcare Providers/CPR and maintained

criteria for Physical Therapist II and obtained requirements listed in the

Career Advancement Program guidelines.

LICENSURE - State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA)

Physical Therapist license; Credentialing must be completed by the Medical

Staff Office (MSO) within 3 months of employmentResponsibilitiesPOPULATION SPECIFIC CARE

Neonate - 30 days to 1yr

Toddlers - >1yr to 3yrs

Pre-Schoolers - >3yrs to 5yrs

School age - >5yrs to 13yrs

Adolescent - >13yrs to 18yrs

Adult - >18yrs to 65yrs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the

following essential functions. These examples do not include all of the

Collaborates with the family, physicians, schools and ot er providers to

ensure the continuum of care for the child and optimal clinical services.

Provides consultation and education to other professionals and families as

necessary.

Completes written documentation in accordance with department standards for

format, location, and time frames.

Independently evaluates patients with a variety of diagnosis, in specialized

programs, on inpatient and/or outpatient units. Incorporates principles of

cultural-competence and family-centered care into clinical services.

Assists in achieving departmental financial budget targets.
