Description Location: UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Outpt Pavilion, US:CO:AuroraDepartment: Lab Pulmonary DiagFTE: Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift: Days Pay: $31.61 - $47.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceSummary:Performs diagnostic pulmonary function testing on patients with respiratory disordersResponsibilities:Prepares patient for ordered testing. Interviews patient to explain testing procedures and monitors patient throughout procedures. Performs and documents ordered testing. Evaluates test results for patient response, artifact, and quality control. Communicates results to physician for interpretation. Sets up, tests, calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots pulmonary function test equipment.Educates patient about respiratory disorders, treatment, and community resources.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.Requirements:

Minimum Required Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.

Required Licensure/Certification: Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required by law. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any additional life support certification as determined at the Position Level.

Minimum Experience: 1 year as respiratory therapist (reg).

BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
