Our property management company oversees the operations of about 250 single family homes and town homes near our Westlake Village office. We’re currently in need of a skilled Property Manager to join our team working from our office. Property Manager Key Responsibilities:
Tenant Management: This includes advertising vacancies, screening potential tenants, managing lease agreements, handling tenant requests and complaints and facilitating move-ins and move-outs.
Property Maintenance: Oversee maintenance and repairs, coordinate with maintenance contractors, conduct property inspections, and ensure properties meet safety and compliance standards.
Financial Management: Oversee rent collection, manage repair budgets, track expenses, review owner monthly statements before distribution
Compliance: Ensure properties comply with all relevant laws and regulations, including fair housing laws.
Communication: Maintain clear communication with property owners, tenants, and vendors.
Desired Competencies, Skills, Experience:
REQUIRED- Active Real Estate License under our broker only (DRE rule)
Reliable auto, valid driver’s license and insurance
3+ years’ experience desired in property management particularly with single family homes
Bachelor's degree preferred
Basic accounting skills and knowledge
Strong organizational and customer service skills as well as attention to detail
Very good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well as part of our team
Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft 365
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations is crucial.
Professional business image including attire, positive attitude, self-motivation
Personal Credit and background check must be in good standing
The position is intended to be in the office (not remote) except for some showing of available rentals and inspecting rental properties. Mostly weekday work with some occasional weekend rental showings. Job is full time 30-40 hours per week. Non-smoking office.
