Agricultural Housing - Non-Profit Organization

Compensation: $20.00 an hour

Employment Type: Full time 40 hours/week OR Part time okay 25-30 hours/week

Cabrillo Cooperative Housing Corporation and Eugene Burger Management Corp. are seeking an experienced individual to be an Administrative Assistant of our 160-unit Apartment Community in Ventura, CA.

The position is full time Monday-Friday 8-5 p.m., 40 hours per week. Or Part time 25 Hours per week minimum.

Hourly rate is $20.00 an hour plus benefits and paid holidays for fulltime employees. Pay to be re-evaluated after successful completion of 3 month probation.

Requirements:

-Reliable Transportation

-Authorized to work in the United States

-Bilingual- must be able to speak, write and translate in Spanish

-Background/credit check required

-Experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable 1 year minimum (70% of the job)

Qualifications:

-Good communication skills in English and Spanish

-Computer literate (Word, Excel, MS Outlook)

-Ability to positively interact with the general public, tenants, vendors, and corporate staff

-Strong organizational skills

-Ability to follow written instructions

-Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines

-Experience with subsidized housing (HUD, Tax Credit, or RD) helpful

-Ability to manage emergency situations

-YARDI experience a plus

Responsibilities:

-Process invoices that come through mail.

-When vendor insurance is expired, contact the vendor's insurance agent for an updated certificate with proper additionally insured verbiage.

-Help bookkeepers stuff or mail checks while properly billing to each entity.

-Run checks through check scan from owners and tenants and post to ledger.

-Answer homeowner calls about ledger questions and payment information.

-Create maintenance work orders for tenants.

-When done processing payables in pay scan, file hardcopy in appropriate place.

-Help accounting and Residential Manager with projects when needed.

-Additional duties not listed may be assigned
