Warehouse Team Leader Job Description
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you will ensure the smooth operations and efficient functioning of the warehouse. You will be responsible for leading warehouse staff, overseeing their day-to-day activities, and ensuring that all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Warehouse Team Leader Responsibilities
1. Coordinate the activities of warehouse staff, including picking, packing, shipping, and receiving.
2. Plan and prioritize work assignments for the team to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
3. Monitor and enforce compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control and accuracy of inventory.
4. Coordinate with other departments, such as procurement, logistics, to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfilment.
5. Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
6. Identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient warehouse practices to enhance productivity and cost-effectiveness.
7. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
8. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise within the team and address performance concerns through coaching and mentoring.
