Description As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a vital role in the finance department by accurately processing and recording invoices and payments. Your responsibilities will include managing vendor accounts, reconciling statements, and ensuring timely payments.Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices accurately and efficiently, matching them with purchase orders and receiving documents.
Code and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper general ledger coding.
Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or issues.
Assist with month-end closing procedures, including accruals and account reconciliations.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files and records.
Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the AP Manager.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
1+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting role.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
