Description We are assisting an established law firm located in Vacaville, CA. We're looking for a Paralegal to join a growing legal team. This role will involve comprehensive legal research and analysis, preparation of legal documents, client intake, and case management. This opportunity is contract to hire and 5 days on-site. Key responsibilities: Engage in comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex business, tax law, and bankruptcy issues. Draft and prepare legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, contracts, and IRS and FTB filings. Manage client intake processes, including conducting interviews, gathering information, and preparing case files. Manage client communication, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and updates on case progress. Organize and maintain accurate and detailed case files, ensuring all documents are properly indexed and filed. Prepare for meetings, hearings, and trials by gathering evidence, drafting exhibits, and assisting attorneys with presentations. Prepare tax elections and filings. Conduct legal and factual investigations, including asset searches and document review. Work effectively with opposing counsel, court clerks, and other legal professionals. Utilize Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, LexisNexis, Management System, Microsoft Excel, Calendar Management, and knowledge of Business laws, Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, and Tax Law.Requirements Proven experience as a Paralegal for at least 7 years Proficiency in Case Management Software Proficient in using Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel Experience in Calendar Management Extensive knowledge of Business laws and Corporate Law Familiarity with Corporate Governance and Tax Law Proficiency in using LexisNexis and other Management Systems Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team A degree in law, paralegal studies or a related field is preferred Demonstrated ability to manage high volumes of tasks and meet deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
