Critical to the role is the ability to develop efficient and effective standardized processes and implement automation where possible to help ensure accuracy and consistency within financial reporting. This role will maintain communication with various partners worldwide to resolve issues and implement best practices while reporting to the Senior Director, Operational Accounting.HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE: Develop and maintain global standardized processes related to manufacturing and cost accounting. Support and improve global transfer profit program, identify potential issues, and work with countries to provide resolutions. Drive cost accounting automation projects design, implementation, and testing. Analyze manufacturing cost trends including materials, labor and absorbed overhead rates within our internal manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturing partners. Provide guidance and best practices related to cost accounting amongst our regional CoE teams. Develop and maintain monthly regional financial reporting packages related to Gross Profit, and Inventory. Maintain cost accounting “Best Practice” procedures to help ensure consistent and accurate reporting across the organization. Support requests from Finance teams and internal/external auditors.WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE TEAM:Team is comprised of a multinational group of cost accountants with significant years of experience in accounting, internal control development and data analytics. The group leverages data automation and reporting tools to help standardized and streamline processes and controls.QualificationsSKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: Proven accounting experience in conjunction with strong analytical skills. Highly motivated with demonstrated initiative to improve on existing processes. Excellent working knowledge of Excel, including building of complex financial models. Experience using leading ERP software, proficiency with Oracle is an advantage. 7+ years professional experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis with public companies. 3+ years experience with Inventory and/or Cost Accounting. Professional experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred.Education Bachelor's (BS/BA/BBA) degree in accounting#LI-EG1At Herbalife, we value doing what’s right.
