Description We are offering a role in the financial services industry located in Torrance, California. The job function is a Customer Service Representative with a focus on credit handling. This role provides a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Promote and cross-sell our credit union services and products to both new and existing members Perform a variety of duties and monetary transactions while complying with our Credit Union regulations Stay up-to-date with rates and our Credit Union’s products and services Display exceptional member service to all members and balance cash drawer and checks daily Open, process, and file new and closed accounts while also managing ID Verification/ChexSystems and OFAC (CIP) on members Accurately process all Member Service products and services Consult with members on their specific needs and cross-sell Credit Union products and services Prepare necessary paperwork for opening new accounts and file member information in a timely manner Maintain files on member account status and prepare required reporting documentation Respond to member inquiries on account status, identify, research, and solve issues/complaints Process IRA deposits and withdrawals, ATM/Debit Card requests, and help members with ATM and Debit Card related issues Process incoming mail and night drop deposits, post MasterCard payments and Advances, and process Verifications of DepositsSkills required include Cash Handling, Customer Service, and understanding of the Banking Industry.Requirements Must possess a minimum of one year of experience in the financial services industry Proven ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly Exceptional customer service skills and ability to build strong relationships with clients Knowledge of banking industry regulations and procedures Demonstrated ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to resolve customer complaints effectively Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Proficiency in using banking software and other relevant computer applications High school diploma or equivalent education level required Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays when necessary Commitment to uphold company's policies and maintain confidentiality of client information.
