Truck/Trailer Maintenace and Repair
Ag Mechanic
We are a small family company in search of
A Diesel mechanic / maintenance tech to be responsible with the repair/PM of trucks and trailers.
- General maintenance and scheduled repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Vehicle lighting /wiring repairs diagnosis maintenance
- Track/schedule/ complete DOT inspections.
- Inspect/Change/repair tires, perform routine oil changes, lube, PM, Brakes.
- Diagnosing and perform engine/Transmission/drivetrain diagnosis and repair when needed.
-Aquire, price, request parts and supplies as needed
-Will respond to road calls providing mobile repair when needed in company service truck.
-Assist with maintaining all inventory levels.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Candiditate must be CLEAN, punctual, reliable, Drug Free.
-Maintain work area and tools and equipment in orderly clean fashion.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a fleet mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and after treatment DPF/DOC system.
- Ability to track & perform DOT inspections.
- Ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical issues.
- Experience with tire changes, oil changes, and brake changes.
-Ability to assist with repairs or other types of equipment as well, backhoe, tractor, forklifts etc.
- Good problem solving skills.
- Great communication skills and the ability to work alone.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
Desirable
Having your Own tools
New model Paccar & Cummins experience a plus
Certification a plus
Ability to overhaul a plus
Welding Fabrication experience a plus.
