Qualifications
Proven experience 2 years as a diesel mechanic
Ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently and find effective solutions
Strong commitment to safety protocols and regulations in an industrial environment
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members
Comprehensive understanding of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy
equipment mechanics
Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and servicing of diesel engines, trucks, loaders, and
other equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Identify, prevent, and report mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues through diagnostic tools,
troubleshoot problems efficiently, and execute necessary repairs promptly
Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure availability of necessary components for repairs
Order parts when needed and manage inventory effectively
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing repairs and maintenance tasks
Ensure equipment is safe for operation according to industry standards
Keep detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs performed, parts used, and any other
pertinent information
Provide reports as required
Coordinate with other teams or departments within the lumber yard to address maintenance needs
and ensure seamless operations
