Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

California, San luis obispo 00000 San luis obispo USA

Vacancy caducado!

Multi-Faceted retail and business service company is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team. This position will work closely with the Vice President/General Manager to either assist with or perform directly a variety of administrative and accounting functions to include, but not limited to: payables (including credit card reconciliations, scheduling timely payments) Receivables & Collections (posting payments received either physical check and/or ACH functions), and Daily Sales/Cash Receipt processing to G/L.

Daily Sales and Receivables operate with two different sub-ledger systems and this position will assist in making sure that all systems balance to the G/L. Additionally, the position will assist with monthly/quarterly/year-end tax reporting requirements (payroll tax deposits, sales tax returns, 1099’s and W-2’s).

Administratively, you will also assist with Human Resource related documentation, general filing and record retention, and get involved in corporate level annual insurance renewals.

You must be able to professionally communicate, both orally and written, be organized, and detail oriented as this job is very hands-on in terms of processing detailed information and interfacing with vendors and clients. Please be able to work independently and also be a team player. We prefer you to have at least an AA degree in accounting with work experience demonstrating the skill sets necessary for the position. In lieu of an Associates degree, a solid work history (3 or more years) relative to the position will be considered. Microsoft Office and Quickbook knowledge is mandatory. It is extremely helpful to understand how “sub-ledger systems” interact with the G/L and as well understand class level reporting within the QuickBooks application.

We offer paid vacation, paid holidays, paid sick time, and vision/dental insurance. Additionally, employees are encouraged to participate in the company’s retirement plan with company-paid matching contributions.

This is a full-time position with flexible hours. Please forward your resume with a cover letter to introduce yourself and to highlight why you would be the best candidate for the job. Pay will be determined based on qualified experience and educational background.
