Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Apprentice Glazer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the trade and a strong desire to learn and grow within the industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of experienced glass professionals while contributing to a variety of glazing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of glass in windows, doors, and other structures.
Measure and cut glass to specified sizes and shapes.
Handle, transport, and store glass safely to prevent damage.
Apply glazing compounds and sealants to secure glass panes.
Support Lead Technicians in various tasks and projects as needed.
Ensure all work meets high standards of quality and safety.
Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in the glazing trade.
Basic knowledge of tools, materials, and techniques used in glazing.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy glass.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Compensation:
Hourly wage of $25-30, depending on experience.
