Position Description

Join our compassionate team as an Associate Clinician, where you'll receive expert guidance and support from our LMFT Therapist and Clinical Supervisor. Dedicated to nurturing mental health and well-being, you'll have the opportunity to grow and develop in a supportive environment.

Supervision meetings offer flexibility, whether in-person in the serene landscapes of San Luis Obispo County or conveniently online. Embrace telehealth or in-person interactions as you engage with our diverse clientele, maintaining a minimum of 12 clinical hours per week to best serve those in need.

Specializing in supporting individuals within the LGBTQIA2+ community and their allies, we prioritize inclusivity and understanding. Our practice welcomes both teens and adults, with a particular focus on empowering youth. Drawing from a holistic approach, we integrate somatic, social justice, humanistic, narrative, and IFS techniques to tailor our support to each individual's unique journey.

As an Associate Clinician, you'll have access to a thriving practice with ample opportunities for referrals and resources to support your professional growth. We balance our practice with private pay clients and are contracted providers with CenCal-MediCal and Anthem insurances.

We're seeking passionate individuals who share our commitment to serving the queer community, whether through lived experience or a deep understanding of their needs. Applicants must be registered as an AMFT, APCC, or ACSW with a associate number.

Join us in making a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve, where compassion meets purpose, and every individual's journey is honored and supported.

Benefits

Join our team and enjoy competitive compensation ranging from $40 to $60 per client hour, along with paid sick time. Enjoy options of two spacious office suites (San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles) with utilities covered, flexible hours, and ongoing client referrals. Receive weekly individual and/or group supervision with experienced, licensed clinicians in a warm, supportive work environment. Access continuous training opportunities and dedicated support as you build the foundation for your future private practice. Join us in making a difference while nurturing your professional growth and well-being.

Essential Requirements

We welcome graduates from accredited Counseling Psychology or related master’s programs, as well as associates (APCC, AMFT, ACSW) in good standing with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Licensure-track master’s students graduating this spring are encouraged to apply. Ideal candidates are characterized by their thoughtfulness, compassion, openness, and willingness to learn and grow. They excel both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating a strong work ethic, professionalism, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Committed to their own self-care, well-being, and work-life balance, they actively contribute to fostering a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for clients and colleagues alike. Motivated to thrive in private practice, they aim to build and maintain a caseload of at least 12-15 client hours per week. While we offer ongoing referrals, training, and support, successful candidates take an active role in seeking and developing additional referrals and managing documentation toward licensure.
