Established Marin County General Contractor specializing in Commercial Tenant Improvements seeks a hands-on

Field Superintendent to supervise, coordinate and document construction project field operations.

Ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be efficient, organized, and methodical with a can-do attitude, with supervisory experience.We are a Non-union shop. We strictly work on Commercial Projects Only.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Execute the work in conformance with codes and the contract documents, including plans, specifications,

schedules and budgets.

Monitor, coordinate and direct the day-to-day construction work on the project.

Wear a tool belt to work on smaller projects and to demonstrate practices and train crew.

Maintain quality standards.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and our Illness & Injury Prevention Program.

Maintain project’s field documentation, including daily logs, purchase orders, material receipts, time card review

and coding of receipts and tags with accurate task codes.

Coordinate construction operations with client and/or facility users.

Schedule subcontractors and inspections to keep the job on schedule.

Maintain job site cleanliness and safety.

Complete punch list items promptly.

Other activities as necessary to complete projects, provide excellent customer service, and provide confidence

and certainty to all team members.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent;

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering, OR four years of responsible

construction experience,

AND two years supervisory experience.

Knowledge of all phases of building construction (commensurate with education and experience above),

including the various trades; materials, tools and equipment; material costs and wages.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects at once.

Ability to read plans and specifications.

Valid California drivers license in good standing.
