Award-winning, Berkeley based builder specializing in upscale residential construction, McCutcheon Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced professional with residential construction experience to be a Project Lead/Foreman of large remodel projects. This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled, experienced person with a passion for remodeling.
The Project Lead will be partnered with a Project Manager for each job. Many of the projects will be between $200k and $500k, with some in excess of $1 million. The Project Lead will be the company’s daily representative with the homeowner and subcontractors. This position requires the ability to manage as well as work with “bags on”.

Skills and Traits
Able to do layout, framing, finishing of typical projects, including new homes, room additions, and remodeling
Proficient at reading and implementing construction drawings
Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to do material and labor estimates
Able to organize progress of multiple employees and trade contractors on a single jobsite
Quickly generate alternate solutions to resolve scheduling conflicts, project delays, and design modifications
Produce and submit RFI’s, daily reports and timecards, safety meeting forms
Ability to climb ladders for heights up to 60 feet, crawl approx. 50 feet, work with tools, lumber and materials. Able to lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs. for 50 feet
Ability to speak, read and write in English
Must have a clean DMV driving record
Must have reliable transportation, truck preferred
Must have own tools

Professional demeanor, appearance and attitude
Computer skills and the ability to learn new programs
Experience
Minimum of five years relevant experience in all phases of residential construction
Compensation
$77-87k depending upon experience, with Paid Time Off, excellent health benefits including HSA, 401k with matching, ESOP stock plan, mileage, tool allowance
