Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Plumbing Supervisor to join our growing team. The
Plumbing Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating a team of plumbers and
ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards, as well as training
and mentoring junior plumbers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage a team of plumbers, including setting goals and objectives, providing
training and support, and evaluating performance.
Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules, priority of plumbing
expenditures, and procedures for plumbing systems maintenance.
Estimates material and labor; monitors the acquisition and use of materials.
Maintain accurate records of materials, equipment, and labor.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
Ensure that safety protocols are followed and that all team members have the necessary
personal protective equipment.
Trains or informs employees of new work methods or procedures, changes in safety
regulations, work policies, and plumbing codes.
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
Ensures budgetary guidelines are met; prioritizes expenditures to stay within budget and
assists in the preparation of capital and operations budgets.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures for plumbing projects.
Adhere to local plumbing codes and regulations.
Perform tasks as directed by the General Manager/Owner.
Job Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a plumber, with at least 2 years of experience in a
supervisory role.
Valid plumbing license in the state of California.
Proficiency in using plumbing tools and equipment.
Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and regulations.
Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices, and techniques.
Knowledge of the mechanics of operation of equipment such as pumps, boilers, heaters, and
other plumbing components.
Skill in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of plumbing systems.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
