Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Plumber to join our dynamic and growing team. As
the Lead Plumber, you will be responsible for managing, training and mentoring a team of plumbers,
as well as handling all aspects of plumbing projects from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and train a team of plumbers, including assigning tasks and ensuring work is
completed safely and efficiently.
Perform a variety of plumbing tasks, including installing pipes and fixtures, repairing and
replacing faulty pipes, and performing routine maintenance.
Assigns and inspects the work of plumbers and apprentices; initiates corrective action to
secure satisfactory standards and timely project completion.
Review plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and necessary materials.
Plans and develops work schedules, equipment usage schedules and procedures for equipment
maintenance. Participates in maintenance, repair, and installation duties.
Diagnose and repair plumbing issues.
Estimate project costs and prepare quotes for clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of work completed.
Provides quality plumbing solutions, communicates effectively, demonstrates quality
workmanship and accurately invoices customers for all work performed.
Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
Adhere to local plumbing codes and regulations.
Successful candidate will be measured on the performance matrix and expected to perform up
to and exceed the standards attached to employee performance to goal expectations.
Perform tasks as directed by the Plumbing Supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a plumber.
Valid California journeyman or master plumber license.
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
Knowledge of local applicable plumbing codes, standards and regulations.
Skill in installation, repair, and maintenance of all systems and assignments common to the
trade.
Skill in estimating time and material requirements for work projects.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, bend, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
