Our retail store MoreBeer! And MoreWine! is where it all started nearly 30 years ago, considered our flagship store, and holds a special place in our hearts. This store has been the starting point for some of the best homebrewers and pro brewers in the world. We are looking for the next manager to join our family! We are seeking the next showroom manager to inject energy and passion into growing this store.

Want to essentially start your own business within an amazing industry and with the support of a larger corporate infrastructure that offers paid pto, medical, 401K program, with sales goals bonuses? This is an independent role where you will have to be a dynamic individual who can manage all aspects of business. You will manage employees, determine what inventory to stock in the store, create interesting merchandising displays, run classes, and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists. You will need to follow accounting and HR sop’s. You will also need good computer skills to work within our database and internal communication systems. Knowledge of beer and winemaking is a real advantage in helping customers make their own.

You will be expected to be a great communicator who creates and seeks clarity. You will need to develop a team of full and part time employees, leading by example. We expect great communication with customers, employees, and internal colleagues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Foster a customer-first environment and ensure every customer feels welcome and valued by providing a friendly environment, deep product knowledge and honest advice.

Investigate and resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.

Implement sales strategies and promotions to boost store performance.

Supervise, train, and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.

Plan and maintain employee work schedules to ensure effective coverage for all store hours.

Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; including, but not limited to: sales and security policies; federal, state, and local employment laws; Company SOP’s.

Train new employees and provide ongoing support and development for current staff.

Maintain equipment, facilities, and materials to present a well-stocked, effective, and clean sales floor.

Oversee stock levels, and manage inventory to ensure the store is well-stocked, and loss prevention controls are in place.

Perform Supervisor functions of voids and returns, price adjustments, invoicing, and other register operations when needed.

Qualifications:

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

A genuine love for helping people and a commitment to providing expert customer service.

Adept verbal and written communication skills.

Previous experience in retail management is ideal.

Proficient computer skills, including email, database and inventory systems, and excel.

Familiarity with the beer and winemaking industry is a plus.

Working Conditions & Environment:

Candidates must be able to consistently lift, open and move inventory weighing up to 60 lbs.; must be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and stand/walk for up to 8 hours with or without reasonable accommodation; must be physically capable of working in conditions normally associated with a merchandise warehouse center (such as, but not limited to, warm and cold temperatures, some light janitorial work, etc.).
