PrognomiQ, Inc. in San Mateo, CA seeks a Research Associate III.
Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and iterating upon novel proteomics sample preparation methodologies and automation services for biomarker discovery; optimizing the performance of preexisting research methods to advance our biomarker discovery mission; analyzing raw mass spectrometry data to glean valuable insights; collaborating with cross-functional research teams to develop large-scale multi-omics platforms; documenting experimental investigation and analysis results in a reproducible manner and present these results and insights to internal and external stakeholders; operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation and devices such as liquid handling, automation, and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LCMS) hardware; and, other related duties as assigned. Salary Range $115,000 - $140,000
Education: Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: One (1) year of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related positions. Other special requirements: One (1) year of experience in biological sample preparation for proteomics, metabolomics, and quantitative proteomics; one (1) year of experience working with High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry technologies; one (1) year of experience working with automation programs and automation method development; and one (1) year of experience with Proteome Discoverer, Skyline, Protein Metrics, or similar mass spectrometry data analysis platforms.
