About the Role:
As a Service Writer, you'll be the crucial link between our customers and our expert service technicians. You'll be responsible for accurately assessing customer needs, creating detailed work orders, and ensuring a seamless service experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Greet and assist customers with their bicycle service needs.
Listen attentively to customer concerns and accurately document bike issues.
Create detailed and accurate work orders, including parts and labor estimates.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding service status and updates.
Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow.
Maintain a clean and organized service area.
Process payments and handle customer inquiries.
Provide exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships.
Maintain a strong knowledge of bicycle components and service procedures.
Assist with other shop duties as needed.
Qualifications:
Passion for cycling and a strong understanding of bicycle mechanics (preferred).
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and computer applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a service writing or customer service role (preferred).
A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
