MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

On-Site Property Manager will be responsible for managing 60 Pride of Ownership units in Downtown San Jose.

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a full-time, live-onsite Community Manager. This property manager would manage 60 apartment units in Downtown San Jose, all within a short radius of each other. These properties are pet free/smoke free community. The work schedule will be 5 days a week, approximately 7-8 hours per day (35 Hours Per week). The Community Manager must be able to carry a cell phone at all times and be able to respond to leasing and emergency calls. If you have outside employment, your other employer must have knowledge and approval of your Community Manager responsibilities.

Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

Leasing –respond to rental leads promptly, answer prospective resident calls, conduct property tours, screen applicants, complete all necessary paperwork and complete the move in process.

Work on capital projects that are happening at the property

Accurately prepare and complete leasing and administrative paperwork

All information should be entered in Yardi system, or other system required by property management on a real-time basis

Maintain thorough knowledge of the property and competition properties

Place ads on Craigslist and use other marketing tools as directed

Maintain prospect traffic and leasing data and other computer data entry in Yardi

Maintain superb relationships with all residents and vendors

Provide excellent customer service to the residents

Enforces rules and regulations fairly and equitably with all residents

Return missed calls and e-mails promptly

Write approved letters and memos as needed

Process rental payments and monitor accounts

Prepare Move-out accounting

Order supplies and process invoices

Schedule turnover work and work orders

Complete work order documentation

Follow fair housing guidelines at all times

Walk/maintain property grounds regularly

Light physical work may be required per position duties

You Have:

One year of prior experience in property management

High School diploma or equivalent

Must have strong verbal and written English skills

Computer literate including Microsoft Word and Excel; knowledge of Yardi Voyager or other property management software systems is helpful

Ability to maintain a professional image and possess great people skills

Must have a valid California Driver's license and state required insurance

Our ideal candidate is self-motivated, friendly, and energetic

Bilingual would be a plus

Compensation:

1 Bed Room rental unit at subject property

$20.00 Hourly Wage
