Job Description
We are searching for an assistant project engineer that has strong documentation skills. The ideal candidate will have assistant project engineer experience and has worked in an environment of providing progress reports and look ahead schedules that require reshuffle and/or resequencing phases to complete the project as scheduled without jeopardizing the end product.
Objectives of this Role
Work with a small team in Silicon Valley that requires being a self-starter and thorough knowledge of the construction process and costs.
Coordinate and facilitate projects from the owner’s representative standpoint
Work with tenants and design professionals to review project details and provide comments as to the Company requirements
Work timely with the governmental agencies in the entitlement through the final inspection phase of the project
Additional work from property management requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
3+ years assistant project engineering experience that includes some hard hat experience
Worked on construction projects that include tenant improvements and commercial projects
Understand and read drawings
Perform bid analysis
Able to do take-offs based on project information, estimating costs (ROM and unit costs)
Hands-on experience with the documentation of construction specifications, scope of work, reporting, costs, RFIs, lender draws, etc.
