About the Role

We are seeking a part-time (2-3 days per week) Business Operations Associate to work closely with our CEO and leadership team to support operational efficiency, promote a positive employee experience, and to assume key administrative tasks. We are a start-up company and therefore the most important attributes for prospective candidates are flexibility, a can do attitude, and organizational skills. This position will be based in Petaluma and is hybrid role (1 day / week minimum on site). Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and are subject to a background check.

What You’ll Do

Responsibilities:

Scheduling and coordination of key meetings and events with various stakeholders (customers, vendors, investors, new recruits etc)

Assist the CEO in tracking to-do’s (light project management and follow up)

Assist with travel arrangements (air, lodging, rental cars)

Help maintain a fun and productive working environment and company culture

Ensuring that our office and farm site are well stocked with snacks and facility needs

Sort, process and distribute mail (ensuring high priority financial mail is immediately brought to Finance Lead and CEO)

Route invoices and coordinate w/Finance Lead on payment

Handle light shipping & receiving needs

Maintain centralized database with key account information

Assist Head of People Operations with Onboarding

Support team / culture / hiring events with logistics, food orders, etc

(Nice to have) Experience with updating social media

Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience working in an office environment

Ability to work in a rapidly changing startup environment (flexible, can do attitude!)

Strong ownership mentality and ability to drive and complete multiple tasks

Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges

Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills

Experience with standard word processing and spreadsheet programs (such as Microsoft Office Suite or Google Docs)

Salary range: $30-35/hour depending on experience. This is a part-time role and as such is not eligible for company benefits.
