As we grow, we’re seeking a dedicated document processing specialist to join our team and ensure the quality and organization of data that powers our AI.

Role Overview:

As a Medical Document Segmentation Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and breaking down medical documents—often long and complex—into their structured component parts. This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, comfort handling Protected Health Information (PHI), and an interest in supporting innovation through well-organized data.

Key Responsibilities:

Review large PDF files and segment them into clearly defined sections (e.g., diagnostics, referrals, legal documents).

Accurately label and organize document components per internal templates and protocols.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive patient data.

Perform basic quality assurance on segmented content to identify missing or unclear information.

Collaborate with our product and engineering team to ensure clean and usable inputs for machine learning pipelines.

Document any inconsistencies or workflow improvements.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be located in and authorized to work in the United States.

1+ year of experience in a healthcare, administrative, or document-handling role.

Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical document types (e.g., discharge summaries, lab reports).

Proven ability to work accurately with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Basic technical proficiency with PDFs, file organization, and digital tools like Google Drive and Adobe

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Preferred:

Prior experience with HIPAA-regulated environments.

Experience in medical records, billing, transcription, or coding.

Exposure to structured data workflows or AI/ML projects is a plus.

Compensation & Schedule:

Status: Full-Time (Hourly, Contract-to-Hire)

Hours: 40 hours/week

Rate: $25 - 35/hour
