Temporary Part-time Library Assistant - Until May 2025
The College Preparatory School, a private high school in North Oakland, seeks a Temporary Part-time Library Assistant to join our team for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic and welcoming library environment that fosters intellectual curiosity and community engagement.
As a Library Assistant, you will contribute to maintaining an organized and resourceful library space, provide support for students and staff, and assist with the management of digital and physical materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and organize new physical books.
Conduct shelf reading to ensure accuracy and organization.
Assist patrons with reference and research inquiries.
Collaborate with faculty to solicit and update required text information.
Create and maintain digital displays to highlight resources and events.
Proctor make-up exams in the library's designated quiet room.
Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
Classification: This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position and is eligible for overtime pay in accordance with California wage and hour laws.
