ABOUT SCBC: The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition is a non-profit, membership-based organization that serves as the voice of transportation and recreational cyclists in Sonoma County. We work to educate the community about bicycle safety and the benefits of cycling, including good health and protecting the environment. We work with elected officials and government agencies to make sure that all new road projects or redesigns consider the needs of cyclists. The Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition (SCBC) seeks a Development Coordinator to assist and support the Board of Directors and staff in implementing SCBC’s fundraising plan.
The Development Coordinator will engage with current and potential donors and hence form many people’s impressions of the organization. To be effective, the candidate must be personable, professional, and diplomatic.
The Development Coordinator reports to the Executive Director.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communicate and build relationships with potential and current donors via email, telephone, mail, and in-person meetings
Communicate with donors to express gratitude and to update them on how their donations are being used
Track these communications using our customer relationship management system Neon CRM
Organize donor events
Other duties as needed

Organized with attention to detail
Computer skills: proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, database/customer relationship management systems, common Web/social media platforms
Ability to travel around the county to meet with prospects & donors (vehicle, bike, transit)
Desired experience
Two to three years of experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or related duties.
Experience with nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.
