Summary:
Responsible for performing flexo press operations and color inspections according to specified daily work orders by performing the following duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reads and follows procedures on customer work order daily. Read blueprints and job bags, getting materials and equipment ready for the press.
2. Sets up and operates flexographic press to produce products in accordance with production needs implementing customer specifications and quality procedures.
3. May be responsible for mixing and matching inks for use in production.
4. Make adjustments in ink and plate pressure according to customer specifications.
5. After receiving job order, set up press, install specified plates and print die on cylinder, install cylinder on shaft, and secure assembly in bed of press.
6. Maintains and ensures press equipment is clean and in proper operating condition daily, inspecting for cracks, pin holes, and wear.
7. Collaborates with staff regarding pre-press functions as needed.
8. Reference charts to burn plate material. Reference charts to mix color and match color.
9. Cleans each station and equipment as needed. Performs wash up procedures for presses at the end of each day.
10. Notifies management of product discrepancies, and/or equipment malfunctions.
11. Ensure material waste is kept to a minimum.
12. Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations.
13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
The Flexo-Press Operator may exert over 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Will work in an environment with moving mechanical parts and occasional loud noises. This position must be able to stand for 8 hours a day and will frequently move about the workspace. Must be able to communicate with others. Ability to inspect details, detect deficiencies and color variations is required. The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects. Arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination are required. Reasonable accommodations can be made if necessary.
