Subpar Alameda is looking for a part-time Community Liaison!
We’re looking for someone who loves connecting with people and getting involved in the community! This role is all about outreach, engagement and building partnerships with schools, PTAs, student groups, youth sports teams, and local organizations across Alameda, Berkeley, Oakland, and the East Bay. The ideal candidate is passionate about community engagement, enjoys attending local events, and can develop creative strategies to bring in customers and strengthen our local presence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and research organizations and initiatives that align with our target demographic
- Develop and execute partnerships such as fundraisers, events, donations and giveaways
- Attend community events, fairs, and networking opportunities on behalf of Subpar to increase visibility and partnerships
- Provide insights and recommendations on facilities, operations and marketing that could attract more local visitors
- Meet with ownership weekly to propose plans, share updates, discuss progress and feedback
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong knowledge of Alameda and East Bay communities
- Experience in community engagement, event planning, marketing, or public relations
- Excellent communication and networking skills
- Availability to attend local events, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Proactive, positive and outgoing
PAY
Starting at $35/hr, approximately 10 hours per week.
This is a new role, so the hours, responsibilities, and focus may shift over time as we figure out the best way to utilize the liaison's skills and efforts.
