Maplebear Inc. D/B/A Instacart in San Francisco, CA seeks Business Operations Manager (Multiple Openings).
Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify and quantify strategic growth opportunities, operational improvements, and sustainable solutions across a four-sided marketplace. Duties include: executing in-depth quantitative research and leveraging data for business impact; developing a rigorous and detailed understanding of P&L by geography, user type, product, and retailer to extract meaningful insights on growth, retention, pricing, and other key metrics for achieving business goals; applying advanced analytics and business acumen to measure policy and program effectiveness and providing strategic recommendations to improve operational efficiency, market expansion, and growth; aligning various stakeholders on sustainable business solutions to turn strategic recommendations into reality; implementing analytical processes, procedures, and best practices to monitor relevant trends and impact of business decisions and ensure operational consistency and accountability; and other duties as assigned. Employee may be stationed anywhere in the continental United States but will report directly to Instacart headquarters in San Francisco, CA.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Research, Statistics, or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Requirements: 3 years of experience in the job offered or related. Other special requirements include: 3 years of experience writing complex, efficient, and eloquent SQL queries to extract data; 3 years of experience working with business intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python; 3 years of experience developing business cases and roadmaps for strategic growth opportunities; 3 years of experience designing and implementing process improvement projects to achieve operational efficiency; and 3 years of experience building high-performing teams and managing the cross-functional projects from proposal to implementation.
In lieu of a bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience in the job offered or related, employer will accept candidates with no degree and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related, including at least 3 years of experience with each of the required special skills.
