Job Title: Part-Time Legal Assistant for Estate Planning Lawyer

Location: Santa Rosa, CA (Hybrid)

Position Overview: We are seeking a part-time Legal Assistant to join our estate planning practice. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently. As a Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorney and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Responsibilities:

Assist with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

Prepare correspondence, memos, and other legal documents.

Maintain and organize client files and records.

Schedule appointments and manage the attorney's calendar.

Conduct basic legal research as needed.

Communicate with clients, providing updates and information as necessary.

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role preferred.

Familiarity with estate planning concepts and terminology is a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Detail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Must have transportation and be willing to do driving errands

Working Hours: This is a part-time position requiring approximately 15 hours per week. Flexible scheduling options and working from home are available.

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience.
