The firm’s employment group specializes in representing plaintiffs only in wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, and sexual assault lawsuits. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, a passion for plaintiff-side work, strong oral advocacy skills, a proactive approach to moving cases along, a savvy use of technology, initiative, the desire to grow, a can-do attitude, and a growth mindset.

The Associate Attorney position would report to a Senior Associate Attorney and two managing partners and would be supported by a paralegal. The Associate Attorney will also be supported with technology platforms and will participate in team meetings, focus groups, intakes, case evaluation, and all aspects of litigation.
The firm is eager and willing to take cases to trial.
Job Duties
Research; drafting demand letters and complaints; calendaring critical deadlines; conducting written discovery; defending and taking depositions; assisting a managing attorney with effectively managing a caseload; conducting intakes; calculating damages; witness interviews; document review; case building; trial preparation; case presentations; etc. Night and weekend work are sometimes required.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
0-3 years of law experience
Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and work independently
Willingness to participate in trial related activities
Willingness to work nights and weekends when necessary
Desired Skills and Experience
Familiarity with state and federal employment regulations (e.g., FEHA, CFRA, 1102.5, FMLA)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Compensation and Benefits
Commensurate with experience ($80,000- $150,000 DOE)
