Our client, a top-tier law firm, is looking for a Litigation Paralegal/Assistant Managing Clerk to join their growing team. In this role, you will support the primary functions of the department, including calendaring/docketing with a focus on California proceedings, court filings, service of legal documents, researching and advising on procedural rules, and other risk management areas that the Managing Attorney supports.
About the Role:
Calendar case events and relevant deadlines in firm’s docketing and calendaring platform.
Prepare and circulate calendar reports and reminders, ensuring accuracy and consistency of calendar entries.
Electronic filing in federal and state courts.
Research applicable rules of procedure and practice across multiple jurisdictions at all levels.
Provide exemplars of litigation documents.
Communicate with various court and agency personnel to confirm status of motions and applications; verify conference and hearing dates. Confer with outside attorney services regarding court retrieval and service of papers.
Lead projects that enhance and streamline MAO processes.
Assist with the preparation of FAQs, procedural checklists, and other litigation related guides.
About You:
2+ years working in a Managing Attorney’s Office or role with related experience.
Knowledgeable in California state and federal rules of procedure related to litigation deadlines and events.
Proficient in docketing and calendaring. Experience using CourtAlert, Compulaw, or Milana a plus.
Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging environment.

Positive attitude along with a polished and professional attire.
Ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Knowledge of legal terminology and principles.
