About Our Ideal Candidate

We are searching for an eco-minded, all-around great human who is also a reliable, hard-working, and experienced Project Manager! Candidates are expected to understand all aspects, of landscape construction. They must be equally comfortable working both in the office and out in the field. They can take and deliver direction, assess what needs to be done, and complete tasks accordingly. Overall, they should be customer-service focused and a positive and inspiring leader for a great group of individuals.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for overall project management on installation projects, managing project budget, and completion schedule

Overall responsibility for a successful project

Not only maintain but strengthen client relations.

Communicate with clients via e-mail, by phone, and in-person.

Keeping project on schedule.

Ordering & managing materials.

Reviewing daily work tasks w/installation team.

Supervise pre-construction of new projects under your supervision, especially projects that will ultimately be assigned to you.

Scheduling and conducting appointments with clients to review projects.

Collaborate with design team & office staff.

Address problems/issues during projects and address them accordingly.

Organize and implement monthly all-team Tailgate Safety Meetings

Maintain quality standards & safe work conditions, on job sites.

Keep track of tools, material, and equipment.

Complete other tasks necessary for business function.

Essential Skills & Job Requirements

Proven ability to manage multiple projects/activities in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Knowledge of landscape, carpentry, concrete/masonry, plumbing, site-works grading, and other general construction protocols.

Ability to effectively manage and lead crew members on job sites.

Ability to read construction drawings, bids, and work.

Reliable, flexible, and accountable.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Must be a team player with the ability to work in a group or independently (self-starter, results-oriented).

Demonstrated computer proficiency including but not limited to Google Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency in QuickBooks online a PLUS.

Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area (vehicle and valid CA driver's license required).

Be able to lift 75 pounds and perform manual labor when necessary.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience.

Bachelor’s degree appreciated but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time (on a 4:10 Compression Schedule), Monday-Thursday 7am-5:30pm (Fri-Sun/3-Day Weekends)

Starting range $30.00-$35.00/HR based upon experience and position knowledge. Opportunity for advancement and salary increase is available based upon performance.

Work Location: San Jose and the surrounding Bay Area.
