Grounds Maintenance Technician

Description:This person will be a part of team that creates an outdoor environment that is well-maintained, orderly, safe formembers, staff, & guests. Responsible for the general maintenance & appearance of the grounds, gardens, parkinglots, & walkways of all Menlo Country Club in Atherton, CA.PAY: $20.00 - 25.00 USD hourly, full time, full health benefits, time off, free meals. Pay depending on experience.WORK HOURS: Saturday-Wednesday 6:30 am – 2:30 pm (Occasional additional hours & days as needed).Must have the ability to work in the United States unrestricted.Requirements:RESPONSIBILITIES:Keep outdoor living spaces, furniture, light fixtures, & equipment clean at all times.Maintain landscape & garden areas as needed by planting, trimming, fertilizing, mowing, or other activities.Maintain irrigation system(s) to ensure proper watering times, water coverage minimize leaks & overspray.Perform minor fixes & maintenance with plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, & painting.Furniture moving is also required in this position.SKILLS:Basic knowledge of horticulture & skill in the performance of a wide variety of gardening tasks.Skilled in operating electric tools; operating gas-operated gardening, landscaping, construction & plumbing.Knowledge of water irrigation systems, including overall operation & repair.Education in electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or any similar trade is a plus.Landscaping methods & proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, & pesticides.QUALIFICATIONS:One or two years of related maintenance & landscaping experience in a similar role.High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent experience.Excellent oral & written communication proficiency in English.Legally eligible to work in the United States.A valid Driver's License required.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Position has frequent kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, walking, twisting, reaching, pushing, &Working conditions are primarily outside with exposure to temperature variations, occasional exposure toinsects, insect & animal bites, poisonous plants, & hazardous chemicalsFrequent lifting 50-100 lbs.Must have the ability to work in the United States unrestricted.PAY: $20.00 - 25.00 USD hourly, full-time, full health benefits, time off, free meals.
