McCampbell Analytical, Inc. (MAI) is an analytical laboratory located in Pittsburg, CA (SF Bay Area) that specializes in the chemical analysis of environmental samples.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time facilities maintenance technician. Day shift Monday through Friday; 9 am – 6 pm.
This position reports to the head of our Service Engineering Department.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The candidate will be responsible for facilities maintenance and equipment servicing in our 40k sq ft laboratory. This includes critical laboratory equipment, HVAC, plumbing, air compressors, basic electrical, etc. This also includes new projects and site cleanup as well. A candidate with appropriate aptitude may be trained to diagnose & repair different types of scientific instruments but facilities maintenance, repair and upgrades are our priority for this position. Candidates will need to be comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs.
The technician would be trained & directed as needed by our experienced onsite service engineering staff.
Qualifications:
A minimum high school diploma is required; a college or trade school degree is a plus.
Excellent mechanical & troubleshooting skills are the core qualifications for this position.
Experience in work such as HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc will be of value.
Reliable, intelligent, strong work ethic, easy to work with, clear communicator.
Must be a success-oriented individual who has high standards for their job performance.
Works well within a group or independently; someone who willingly takes direction from their supervisor.
Collaborative attitude: desire to learn from others as well as share their knowledge.
