Salary: $35.59 - $42.31/hr., Range 72 (5 Steps; Maximum reached in 3.5 yrs)
The Equipment Operator reports directly to the Supervisor, Custodial and Grounds or designee to operate power grounds equipment as a regular and major assignment; to perform grounds maintenance and gardening work; and to perform other job-related duties as required.
Requirements / Qualifications

DMV Driving Record
A Class A driver's license must be obtained within 3 months of employment
Possession of California Class A driver’s license with no restrictions which would preclude driving on the job is a continuous requirement.
Education:
Equivalent to completion of high school with the addition of any combination of formal and informal training, education and experience with power grounds or construction equipment operations, landscape management, horticulture, agriculture or a related field.
Experiences:
Two years of experience operating a variety of commercial/industrial power grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, tractors, graders, pruning towers, branch chippers, stump grinders and backhoes in a grounds maintenance, farming or construction environment.
